S4PLAST

Mobilising project as part of the collective efficiency strategy of the Engineering & Tooling cluster, which aims to create new knowledge that will have an impact on the development of sustainable polymer-based products with differentiating characteristics for the market, considering design for circularity, sustainable materials and intelligent, autonomous and precise production systems from a zero-defect production perspective.
The S4PLAST project envisages:
-
Development of holistic methodologies to support product design and development considering the entire life cycle.
-
Developing technology to produce plastic parts with metallised aesthetic characteristics.
-
Development of multifunctional components with a reduction in the number of materials
-
Developing the valorisation and reuse of materials resulting from plastics transformation processes
-
Development of integrated and multifunctional product design
Neutroplast has worked on 2 of the PPS:
-
The development of holistic methodologies to support design and development, surveying production data for the life cycle analysis of a range of Neutroplast products
-
Development of work in the area of 'zero defects' production using IML (in mould labelling) technology, which also seeks to reduce the amount of raw materials used in bottle production.
