SR4SB

The aim of this project was to develop a transversal system based on intelligent electronics for application in downstream biotechnological processes. It consisted of a multifunctional robotic device equipped with sensors to drive a wide range of biotechnological processes.
The sensor technology innovated in the SR4SB project was based on 96-well plates for developing antibodies, which will be monitored by means of different printed sensors integrated directly into the 96-well plates for different purposes (conductivity, pH and height) and will send information to the robotic device. The purification process has been made technologically holistic by in-process controls, chromatography techniques and high-performance downstream processes (purification) by means of intelligent electronics.
