The Masks4Safety project was developed in partnership with CENTI, Valmet and 2CA-BRAGA. The aim was to develop a mask with improved properties and integrative detection capabilities.

The solution developed improved the design of the mask to increase wearing comfort. Already with a high level of protection, the mask has the ability to monitor different parameters in order to determine whether the mask is still in good condition for use. Monitoring is carried out using an expiratory valve with sensors, which can be reused to minimise waste.
