The BETTER PLASTICS project was intended to be the Mobilising Project for the Plastics Sector in Portugal, capable of leveraging the sector's transition to a circular economy. It arose from an initiative by APIP, the Portuguese Plastics Industry Association, which, through this application to the R&TD Mobilising Programmes, wanted to mobilise the private sector together with national authorities, universities and citizens, thus contributing to the European Circular Economy objectives of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, greater resource efficiency and job creation.

Neutroplast has developed work in the area of Circularity through product design, with the study and development of packaging design in order to reduce the number of components and types of raw materials, in order to improve the recyclability and impact of the packaging.
