Neutroplast has joined the Portuguese Plastics Pact, a movement that has a shared approach to plastic in Portugal. By adopting the principles of a circular economy, the pact intends to convert materials, preventing them from becoming waste or pollution.
The 2025 Objectives of the Portuguese Plastics Pact are ambitious but certainly achievable if everyone is diligent and takes their role seriously. Thus, we hope that the collective effort will result in the following:
The circular economy model, supported by the transition to renewable energy sources, creates economic, social, and natural capital, based on three basic principles: eliminating waste and pollution at the outset, conserving products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems.
This initiative has been rolled out in nine countries and, through the involvement of local organizations and in bringing together governments, companies, and citizens, it aims to adopt collective goals in order to enable the sharing of experiences, knowledge, solutions, and good practices amongst its members. The result is the promotion of a quick transition to a more circular economy when it comes to plastic, taking important steps to reduce waste right the way through from its origins to the final product, preserving the value of this material in the economy, and preventing it from ending up in nature.
By signing up to this initiative, Neutroplast is committed to developing individual and collective efforts to achieve a set of goals, which the company should do by 2025. Keep an eye on our social networks over the coming weeks: we are going to set out the goals that we intend to achieve in line with Roadmap 2025!!
