A lot has been happening on the areas Neutroplast?s development team operates, so today we are bringing you an account of the work that has been done, in the recent past, to improve your products and bring new solutions for your packaging.
We got together with the development team and asked them in what way are they feeling their efforts rewarded by our customers. The first thing they stressed is that all the work they undertake is customer driven. That is to say, that adding value to the products you purchase from Neutroplast is their main concern. From daily customer requests for customization of specific products to creating innovative production enhancements, the focus is on providing more efficient, cost-effective and market honed solutions, without forgetting the addition of continuous tasks for the integration of innovation norms and the participation in research projects with other companies, research agencies and universities.
All these improvements are part of an ongoing strategy to keep our offer on the front-line of what our customers need to address their markets. Nevertheless, two major initiatives are currently going through the stages of research through a European Research Consortium that we could not keep from you any longer: the Gloria and Dosea packaging solutions.
The Gloria project is in an advance stage of completion and allowed for the creation of a smart packaging system that improves patient compliance and allows for the monitoring of medicines intake by the health providers. This solution, centred around a cap that uses advanced sensor technology and computer programming to track the intake and dosage of pharmaceuticals, has been already been extensively tested on a clinical trials environment and is expected to become a standard when conducting clinical trials, due to the precision with which it tracks medicine intake. This means that you can now conduct your clinical trials with further detail and improve the precision of your results.
The other flagship, the Dosea, is a revolutionary label system also destined to improve patient compliance, integrating packaging systems with user-friendly solutions for alerting patients to no not forget to take their medication, while keeping a record of the intake. The technologies involved in this production are the integration of printed circuits with non-printed ones, sensors and also computer programming, but we do not want to go into too much detail before having a commercial solution ready to be applied on your products.
The creation of such ground-breaking technologies is a result of interaction with our partners, and the development team stressed this extensively. Even though Neutroplast has the skills for production and prototyping, product management and market access needed to materialize the needed deliverables, the projects are the product of collaboration with the right partners in diverse knowledge areas. These partners allow Neutroplast to create products that are the outcome of research projects, technology transfer and companies and academia partnerships, and the results are then incorporated in the products that you, working on the ever-changing pharmaceutical market, offer to the public.
